All firearms applications can be completed online. To apply click here and enter ORI number NJ0026300.
Once you have completed the application process, please drop off a check or money order at Upper Saddle River Police headquarters. All checks/orders are to be made out to the “Borough of Upper Saddle River”. Payment must be dropped off in an envelope labeled with your name at the police department. Please indicate in the “Memo” section of the check/order the type of application you applied for (Ex. Firearms ID Card, Handgun Permit, etc). Your check/order will not be cashed until application is approved.
- Initial Firearms Identification Card – $50
- Handgun Permit – $25
- There is no charge for Firearms Identification Cards issued due to a change of address or replacement of a lost/stolen card
- Concealed Carry Permit – $150
Only online applications will be accepted. Please bring photo identification with you when you pick up your item(s).
If you have updated paperwork for your Concealed Carry Permit, please either drop off your paperwork at Upper Saddle River Police headquarters or email copies to Detective Chiavelli at jchiavelli@usrpd.net
